We built Whomso because we were fed up with the way we were treated as buyers. There’s nothing more unattractive as a budget holder than to be treated as just that - a budget.

So we set about creating a product that would help modern sales people expedite their outreach, without compromising on quality.

Why is Whomso built the way it is?

Our product is an excellent example of the butterfly effect. A lot of our decision making stems from a comment on a LinkedIn post about avoiding email spam filters:

“It’s easy to avoid spam filters. Don’t spam”

The rest of the comments were talking about email warm up, etc. but this seemingly innocuous comment is now a product tenet.

Quality over quantity is an excellent motto to live by for many reasons but especially so in the context of sales. With constant improvements to spam filtration and the ever-decreasing quality of sequencing tools, quantity just doesn’t work.

What’s the vision?

We’d like to see a world where email is restored back to the levels of enjoyment we encountered in the early 2000’s. Where anything that lands in your inbox is meaningful and exciting - not filled with junk.

It’s a pretty lofty vision and one that perhaps extends beyond the boundaries of B2B email but we wanted to start by making a dent in this problem - and cold emailing seems to be the worst offender!
